Meeting Young Musicians Where They Are

Empowering Every Young Musician

The Westchester Youth Symphony (WYS) believes that every child deserves access to high-quality music education, no matter their financial circumstances. The WYS Opportunity Fund is our scholarship and donation program, designed to match students in need with the instruments, lessons, ensembles, and performance opportunities that will help them thrive.

Opportunity Through Access

Music has the power to transform lives—but access to lessons, instruments, and performance programs often comes at a cost that many families simply can’t afford. That’s where we step in.

The WYS Opportunity Fund provides:

  • Private Lesson Scholarships
  • Instrument Lending and Purchase Assistance
  • Full or Partial Tuition for WYS Participation
  • Concert Attire Support and Transportation Assistance
  • Community Music Enrichment Opportunities

Our goal is to *meet each student where they are*, and build a customized support plan that reflects their musical passion, potential, and unique needs.

"At Westchester Youth Symphony (WYS), we strive to be supportive of students who are involved in sports and other activities while being committed to their art. So many of our students are multi-talented. Our season runs from mid-October through the end of March. By offering this flexibility, WYS aims to create a balanced environment where students can excel in both their musical and athletic pursuits."
