Dear WYS Community,
As we celebrate Giving Day, we want to share something important with you.
Across Westchester and throughout the state, arts funding has been reduced, leading to more students not getting the opportunity to perform in ensemble situations and in some cases not being able to take lessons. These changes have created real challenges for organizations like ours—organizations that are deeply committed to ensuring every child who wants to make music has a place to do so.
At WYS we remain devoted to that mission. And this year, more than ever, we are relying on you. Your generosity allows us to continue offering high level ensembles for young musicians from every part of Westchester. It allows us to say yes to families who depend on scholarship support. And it allows our students to grow as musicians, leaders, and community members.
100% of your Giving Tuesday gift goes directly to student scholarships, ensuring every young musician who wants to learn and grow with us can do so.
Below are a few words from students whose WYS scholarships this past year were made possible through your generosity. We ask for your help this Giving Tuesday as we continue to serve students in Westchester.
WYS Scholarship Recipients Thank You

“I had so much fun playing in town. My little brother and my mom came to see me.”
“Thanks to the WYS scholarship, I was able to continue playing and improve my skills. I got into to college to be a music teacher next year.”
